What is the Raptim “Tri-Fare”?
For six decades Raptim Travel has offered specialized airfares for missionary and humanitarian travel.  While we recognize and believe in the unique benefits and value the missionary and humanitarian fares offer we have heard from our customers about the need and desire for a complete offering of airfares so they can make the best value purchase based on their specific needs. 

Our response…..the Raptim “Tri-Fare”
For each flight request you make, our agents will offer you the following if the fares are applicable (foreign origins, no consolidator fare offered for a destination, etc. would limit our tri fare offering)

Missionary/Humanitarian Airfares:  A great value airfare for the humanitarian traveler!  In many cases these fares will provide you with the lowest possible price, especially for one way fares and high season travel.  In addition the added value is found in the flexible conditions such as: refunds and changeability; sometimes date changes at no cost!  Raptim can offer you one extra checked bag when traveling on British Airways.  We also can offer one extra check bag when flying on Lufthansa Airlines.  Lufthansa is by request only, and in both cases excess baggage applies only for mainline carrier, no code share flights.

Consolidator Airfares:  This is a term used quite often online that indicates that the fare is a wholesale price or below market value.  Raptim is a consolidator; we offer our own consolidator fares.  Many of these airfares are available to any traveler, so the restriction for use found in the missionary/humanitarian airfare is not an issue.  This is a fantastic option for family, friends and supporters of those working abroad.  Consolidator fares offer great savings, however the restrictions or conditions of the fare offer less flexibility than the missionary/humanitarian fares.  Typically these fares are non-refundable and date changes in many cases can be done with reasonable fees.

Published Airfares:  Published airfares are those fares offered to the general public, found directly with the airlines and also with most online sites.  These fares are always changing and typically the most restrictive in terms of refund ability and change ability.  However, we recognize these fares can provide great value to our customers.  Low season rates can be highly attractive, and new services and routes can often include great incentives on cost savings.  Typically published airfares are not the best value for one way fares or long term stays especially with uncertain return dates. 

Please keep in mind that not every travel request will be eligible for the “Tri-Fare” offering.  Our agents will make every effort to provide you with each of these airfare options listing each of the benefits and rules for consideration on your purchase.
